Hayley spring

Hayley is a Brisbane/Magandjin-based Production Designer and Art Department filmmaker with a passion for crafting visual worlds that speak to the heart of a story. Guided by a deeply creative approach, Hayley views set design as a language of emotion. Using texture, colour, and composition to translate feeling into form. Her work often explores themes of identity, connection, and nostalgia, creating spaces that feel intimate, layered, and alive.

Specialising in Production Design and Art Department, Hayley has contributed to a range of film projects including most recent Mother Tongue, The High Priestess. each project showcasing her ability to merge detailed research with intuitive artistry. Her work aim to immerse audiences in a world that feels emotionally true and visually poetic.

Beyond art department, Hayley enjoys stepping into Producing and Production Assistant roles on other creative projects, most recently Shrooms, where she brought the same sense of care, collaboration, and visual storytelling to the wider filmmaking process.

Completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, Screen & New Media) at QUT, Hayley continues to explore how visual design can become an act of storytelling, one that connects people not just to the world of a film, but to their own memories and emotions.
